“Since graduating I have worked with various conservation organisations and I know that often opportunities arise where I use skills learnt during my time with SINNG. I completed a seasonal ranger post with the New Forest Park Authority, a part of my role was creating activities to engage and educate visitors about the nature of the New Forest and its special qualities. I have no doubt that my time at SINNG helped me to get this role, I was able to draw on the experiences I had of making fun educational games and activities about invasive non-native species. Whether scrambling along riverbanks pulling Himalayan balsam or trying to work out how snakes and ladders could be recreated with an invasive twist, SINNG was responsible for many happy memories as well as teaching me invaluable conservation skills and knowledge.”
